First ever collection letter from a collection agency
- I received the first ever collection letter from a collection agency. What can I do?
-
First, one should remember that a demand for payment letter does not yet result in a payment default entry. It is easiest to pay the debt and its associated costs off right away using the wiring instructions provided in the letter. Then the issue is taken care of.
Even if you can’t pay it right away, there is no need to worry. Contact the collection agency’s customer service department and suggest a new due date or a payment plan using multiple instalments.
If you have received a demand for payment from Lindorff, you can pay the invoice, extend its due date or agree on a payment plan also on the website by using your banking access codes to log into the My Lindorff Internet service.
We recommended that you also learn about the collection process in the Did you receive mail section.
