Instalments /credit card balances unpaid?

What does this mean for my credit report?

Most likely, your credit information is still in order. However, now you should take swift action: contact the collection agency that sent the payment reminder and agree on making the payment.

The company that has offered the consumer credit line can notify the credit information company of the unpaid credit balance, which is over 60 days past due from the original due date. Recording a payment default entry requires that it has been stated in the credit agreement and that you have been sent a payment reminder a minimum of 21 days earlier. The reminder must mention the possibility of an entry being made in your credit report. Therefore, you should quickly initiate contact once you receive a letter of that nature.

Can I make a payment plan?

Yes, in most cases, you can make a payment plan. Please be sure to contact the collection agency that sent the payment reminder letter as soon as possible and propose a new payment due date or payment using several instalments.

If you have received a letter from Lindorff, please contact our customer service department.

Read more about it in the section titled Payment plan.

Will I loose already issued credit lines or cards, if I get a payment default entry?

If you do not ensure that the credit card balance or other credit line is paid off as agreed, your credit line or card will be cancelled and a payment default entry may result in your credit report. The company that has offered the consumer credit line can notify the credit information company of the unpaid credit balance, which is over 60 days past due from the original due date.

A payment default entry does not usually affect other credit lines already agreed on and in force, but it usually results in you not being able to obtain a new line of credit or credit card.

My credit card was cancelled. Can I get a new card?
If your credit card was cancelled and it has resulted in you receiving a payment default entry, it is likely to be very difficult for you to obtain a new card.
