Unpaid traffic insurance premiums?

What does this mean for my credit report?

Most likely, your credit information is still in order. The required traffic insurance is included in the so-called public fees, which are directly eligible for enforcement without a ruling from the district court. You can’t get a payment default entry in your credit report until the collection has advanced to the enforcement phase and you are even then not able to make the payments. The enforcement will then deem you insolvent, which results in an insolvency entry in your credit report.

However, do not prolong the issue! Instead, agree on paying off the debt. Every phase of the collection will result in additional costs for you. Learn more about the collection phases in the Did you receive mail section.

Can I make a payment plan?

Yes, you can also agree on paying traffic insurance premiums with several instalments over a few months.

If you have received a letter from Lindorff, please contact our customer service department. You can create a payment plan also online yourself using your banking access codes to log into the My Lindorff Internet service.

How does the traffic insurance premium collection process proceed?
Traffic insurance premiums are receivables directly eligible for enforcement. This means that unpaid invoices can be sent directly to enforcement after sending payment reminders and demand for payment letters. It is not necessary to seek a ruling from the district court to confirm the obligation to pay the debt.
Will I be then able to obtain a new insurance policy from anywhere?
Traffic insurance is a required policy mandated by law. Therefore, it will be issued to you, even if you have outstanding insurance premiums or entries in your credit report. In these cases, however, the insurance company has the right to require you to pay the insurance premium up to 12 months in advance.
